Snow falling on the ice covered trees, air is freezing, rivers covered in ice, the village was used to the cold that was just a part of their everyday life in the Himalayas mountains. The village was a dwarf compared to the giant mountains that towered above, Dakota was a great chief and with the help of his trusted hunters Ben, Cody and Cory he could provide food and a warm home for the villagers of Smivinjarsin. But what was is about to happen would change everything.
“Chief Chief!”cried out Ben who was the best hunter “We are short on food we might not be able to feed the whole village tonight!”
“Why are short on food we were stocked up yesterday?” inquired the chief, Dakota.
“Not sure,“ replied Ben “We will go out hunting and try and get some food.“
“Ok but be quick,“ commanded Dakota. Dakota watched the three hunters run off into dark frozen woods, how could the village be low on food Dakota thought to himself something is not right Dakota said outloud . Dakota looked to the wood and saw the hunters running out, Cody pale faced with fear. “What happened?” asked Dakota
“There was a big beast that attacked us!” said Cory, “We were sneaking through the forest then we heard a grunt I thought it was boar and went to kill it but it was a massive white beast and it chased us out the woods
Dakota and Ben gathered the hunters and richard who was the village trapper into the colossal town hall they all gathered round the massive wood table in the middle of the room. “We need to catch the yeti to stop it taking our food, “ announced Dakota .
“ But how can we catch that terrible beast?“ questioned Cory .
“ I’ll set a trap of course, “ said Richard . They talked about what they should do for about an hour and they settled on Richard setting a wire across the doorway of the food store that triggers a cage to fall on the yeti when it goes to take there food. Once the trap was set the hunters with Richard and Dakota hid in the food store, as the sun started to set and they were about to go back and give up Dakota spotted a big shadow creeping towards the food store, Dakota gestured the others to hide. First they heard foot steps then a foul smell filled the air, holding their breaths and trying not to throw up they waiting then, twingggg and a crash the all rushed out to see the yeti whimpering in the cage then it spoke in a shaky voice “Don't hurt me I beg you I only steal because I can't hunt,“
”How about we make a deal we teach you how to hunt and you work in the village with us?“ proposed Dakota, he was a smart Chief and new he could get the yeti in the village.
“You will teach me how to hunt “ said the yeti “Then yes I will join your village, my name is Claudius by the way. “
The village welcomed Claudius and they lived in harmonie learning of each other to make the village even more mighty!
